We are dedicated to working together with our members to develop the industry’s next generation of professional leaders and believe our industry has a social responsibility to give back to the communities they serve.
Established in 1988, the ICSC Foundation is our non-profit, charitable arm that is focused on activities and programs in the United States. Over the years the Foundation has concentrated on including education, community support and research, and in 2015 we completed our first Capital Campaign, raising $5 million for programs and services.
Recognizing the industry’s critical need to build the next generation of talent, the Foundation in 2018 made talent development its sole priority. To advance this goal in 2019, the Foundation, in collaboration with ICSC, officially launched an aggressive, new plan – the Talent Incubator Project.
Comprised of four key initiatives, the Talent Incubator Project is well underway. The Foundation offers 100 academic and professional development scholarships and recently launched mentorship, internship and university partnership programs. Included within all programs are targeted efforts to increase diversity in the industry.
Driven by the generosity of our membership, the Foundation over the next several years is committed to growing and expanding the Talent Incubator Project, maximizing impact and encouraging more member involvement.
Founded in 2015, the ICSC Foundation Canada focuses on charitable activities and programs in Canada. ICSC Foundation Canada’s primary mission is talent development, and in 2019 it launched its own Talent Incubator Project.
To drive support to build out its Talent Incubator Project, the ICSC Foundation Canada just launched a $2.5 million campaign. We are deeply grateful to Cadillac Fairview, Ivanhoé Cambridge and Oxford Properties for stepping up to provide substantial seed funding. With funds received to date, initiatives are already underway, including new scholarships, mentorship and internship programs.
