Mexico lifestyle center earns ICSC Latin America & Caribbean Shopping Center Award

October 12, 2018

This year's ICSC Latin America & Caribbean Shopping Center Awards winners, culled from the very best of retail marketing across the region, offer a host of innovative ideas for marketing, promoting, designing and developing retail properties.

One of the winning entries was Encuentro Averanda, a new shopping center in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico.

Developed and managed by Proarquitectura, this open-air lifestyle center features 14 anchors amid lushly landscaped gardens: A&F, Aeropostale, Bershka, Cinépolis, Express, H&M, Hollister Lefties, Loft, Nike, Sears, Smart Fit, Stradivarius, Walmart and Zara.

Encuentro Averanda is the 650,872-square-foot retail component of a larger mixed-use center.

The center earned the Gold Award in the new development category. See this year's entire group of winners and honorees.
