Morton Grove, Ill.
IM Kensington is redeveloping the former Prairie View Shopping Center as Sawmill Station, a lifestyle center that will comprise shopping, dining and entertainment space and a 250-unit apartment building. Chicago Tribune

Fort Bragg, N.C.
Freedom Crossing at Fort Bragg Center — an 83,000-square-foot specialty retail, food and entertainment center set to go up at the largest military base in the U.S. — is scheduled to break ground this fall. The Fayetteville Observer

Dunwoody, Ga.
GID Development intends to break ground this year on a $2 billion, 41-acre high-street project near Perimeter Mall. The first phase will comprise retail and office space and about 600 apartments. The center will feature a 25,000-square-foot plaza for public events, and a movie theater and a food hall are in the plans too. AJC

Carrollton, Texas
The View, a 440,000-square-foot development that will include roughly 31,000 square feet of retail space and nearly 300 condos, breaks ground this week. The project, from JK & JY Development, is scheduled to open in 2022. The Dallas Morning News

Wytheville, Va.
H&D Entertainment says it plans to start construction on a 25,000-square-foot entertainment complex as soon as the weather allows. The project, going up near a Lowe’s and a Walmart, will contain a 14-lane bowling alley, a restaurant, trampoline and laser-tag venues and an outdoor patio. SWVA Today

Jacksonville, Fla.
The Town & Country Shopping Center has been renamed College Park and is undergoing a $3 million renovation. JWB Real Estate Capital is looking for a grocery store tenant. WJCT

Hanover, Mass.
Demolition of the Hanover Mall has begun. The mall is to be replaced by the open-air Hanover Crossing, which will comprise some 600,000 square feet of retail, a movie theater, a bowling complex and a restaurant. An 80,000-square-foot Market Basket will anchor the center. The Enterprise

Walnut Creek, Calif.
Construction is nearly completed on the multiyear renovation of Rossmoor Shopping Center. This project includes a courtyard, a BurgerIM, a CVS and a Starbucks. Rossmoor News

Leander, Texas
A 115-acre mixed-use project called Northline broke ground Wednesday. Northline will comprise a town center, some retail and dining space, housing units and roughly 20 miles of outdoor trails. Community Impact Newspaper

Lynwood, Wash.
Merlone Geier Partners is planning a mixed-use development called Northline Village. The 17-acre project, going up near a light-rail station, will contain retail, office and housing space. Connect Seattle
