First Washington Realty purchased a portfolio of five grocery-anchored retail properties, totaling some 788,000 square feet, located in Northern Virginia and Maryland, from WashREIT. The Virginia centers, both in Alexandria, are Bradlee Shopping Center and Shoppes of Foxchase. The Maryland centers are Gateway Overlook, in Columbia; Olney Village Center, in Olney; and Wheaton Park Shopping Center, in Wheaton. The portfolio is nearly 100 percent leased. The properties house a variety of grocery anchors — Aldi, Giant, Harris Teeter, H Mart, The Fresh Market and Trader Joe's —  in addition to such national retailers as Best Buy, Gold's Gym, HomeGoods, Michaels, Pier 1 Imports, T.J.Maxx and Walgreens. JLL marketed the portfolio on behalf of the seller.

Wicker Park Capital Management LLC, of Birmingham, Ala., acquired Westport Village, a 169,500-square-foot, almost fully occupied mixed-use center that houses retailers, restaurants and offices, in Louisville, Ky., from Hendon Properties.

Kohan Retail Investment Group, of Great Neck, N.Y., bought Towne West Square, a 900,000-square-foot regional mall in Wichita, Kan., anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillard’s Clearance Center, JCPenney and Regal Cinemas. Newmark Knight Frank represented the seller.

A group of domestic and foreign investors bought the Colonnade Shops, a three-building, 27,000-square-foot center in Viera, Fla., from Corporate Property Group, for the equivalent of $436 per square foot, according to published reports. SRS Real Estate Partners negotiated the deal for the seller.

$10.3 million
An undisclosed investor acquired four retail properties, totaling nearly 30,200 square feet, in downtown Sarasota, Fla., from Lemon Avenue Properties LLC. The properties are at 1500 and 1501 Main St., and at 22 and 35 Lemon Ave., and collectively they are nearly 90 percent leased. JLL represented the seller.

Atlanta-based Vanguard Associates Holdings LLC acquired Battlefield Centre, a 214,400-square-foot center in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., from Battlefield Centre LLC, of Roswell, Ga. The tenants include Tractor Supply Company and Planet Fitness. Franklin Street stood in for the seller.

$1.7 million
A private investor acquired a nearly 3.4-acre site at Litchfield (Ill.) Plaza with a newly built, 22,250-square-foot store leased to Aldi. The property sold at a 4.26 percent cap rate. Hanley Investment Group Real Estate Advisors represented the seller: Greater Missouri Builders, of St. Charles, Mo.
