Trendy electric-vehicle maker Tesla will open 11 U.S. stores this week, expanding its network of physical locations by 10 percent.
Customers need no appointment to drop in and test drive one of the company's vehicles. Four of these new stores are located in California: at Del Amo Fashion Center, in Torrance; Fashion Square, in Sherman Oaks; Roseville Galleria, near Sacramento; and Victoria Gardens, in Rancho Cucamonga.
Two stores are in Texas: at Dallas Galleria and at La Cantera, in San Antonio. Two are in Florida: at Orlando's Florida Mall and at Estero's Coconut Point. The remaining three are at Christiana Mall, in Newark, Del.; Roosevelt Field, in Garden City, N.Y.; and Southpark, in Charlotte, N.C.
