Small Business Sales Slowed in June, Despite Year-Over-Year Growth

July 18, 2024

According to the June 2024 Fiserv Small Business Index, small business sales slowed 2.9% from May to June and transactions at small businesses dropped 1.5%. Inflation and mindful spending are driving this deceleration, despite some retailers’ efforts to attract shoppers with discounts. However, the report also highlights a 1.6% year-over-year increase in sales for June and a 4.4% year-over-year jump in transactions.
