The Small Business Administration announced the expansion of its Ascent digital platform curriculum to help women-owned small businesses expand into international markets. The new “Growing Globally” course will complement existing, freely accessible programming that offers women entrepreneurs training, advice and resources such as access to capital, said Mark Madrid, the agency’s Associate Administrator of the Office for Entrepreneurial Development.
“Access to digital and online training platforms remains critical to supporting women entrepreneurs,” he said. Women are the fastest-growing entrepreneurial segment in the nation, [and] Ascent helps the SBA reach more women where they are and when they need it.”
The six-module course features online tools to assess and enter global markets:
Madrid said the agency would continue to expand its educational offerings to be timely and relevant to women-owned small businesses across the country.
