Puerto Rico–based shoe retailer Novus is growing in the U.S. The chain opened a store at Simon’s Florida Mall, in Orlando. The 40-year-old company, which designs, markets and sells fashion shoes and accessories, operates 65 stores throughout Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The chain opened its first mainland U.S. store at Pembroke Lakes Mall, in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
"We are extremely happy to be opening in Orlando, where a large number of Puerto Rican followers of our brand have emigrated to," said Sandra Castellón, marketing director at Grupo Novus. "We are also betting on growing into different markets that are similar to our preferences and likings."
