Basketball star and retail entrepreneur Dwyane Wade will be the keynote speaker at ICSC 2022 Las Vegas, which will run May 22 to 24.

Wade is a three-time NBA champion, 13-time NBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist. He has blocked the most shots of any guard in NBA history. A Chicago-area native, he had honed his skills at Marquette University before playing professionally for the Miami Heat, the Chicago Bulls and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Following the 2018-19 season, he retired from the NBA.

Off the court, Wade is a style icon who paved the way for professional athletes to dress stylishly and fashionably. He was selected as an ambassador for the first Men’s Fashion Week, in New York City in 2015.

He’s also a retailer. His lifestyle brand Way of Wade operates 11 stores in China and a wholesale line of affordable socks called Stance. Wade is in the food-and-beverage business, too: He co-owns a restaurant concept called 800° Woodfired Kitchen and has launched a ghost kitchen franchise concept called D. Wade Burgers.

Wade will speak on Sunday, May 22, at ICSC 2022 Las Vegas about leadership, sportsmanship and his path to pro basketball. He also will share lessons learned in sports that helped him succeed in the business world.

ICSC 2022 Las Vegas, the premier conference for the marketplaces industry, runs May 22-24 at the Wynn Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
