Entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis will be a keynote speaker at RECon this year.
Lemonis at the grand opening of his newest Marcus store, in New York City's Meatpacking District, in May
The serial entrepreneur and CEO, who has made a second career of sharing his knowledge and insights on CNBC’s The Profit TV show, will speak Monday, May 20.
Lemonis honed his business skills at Camping World, America’s No. 1 seller of recreational vehicles and camping accessories. He remains chairman and CEO of that company, which operates 130 stores, but he also manages a holding company for various other ventures, including outdoors-gear retailer Gander Mountain, which he helped rebrand as Gander Outdoors. Furthermore, Lemonis operates a chain of 20 Marcus stores across the U.S. through his Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group, which promotes emerging women's apparel and accessories labels.
Lemonis is known for his focus on personal relationships and purpose-driven commerce. At RECon he will discuss his so-called 3P's (people, product, process) principle — a philosophy by which he examines a business based on the quality of its people and on whether that business offers an excellent and relevant product, before trying to help identify the best possible process for the distribution and sale of that product.
