More than 20,000 players in the Marketplaces Industry will attend ICSC LAS VEGAS from May 21 to 23 to make contacts, learn, and develop strategies for success in 2023 and beyond. Sunday will be a day of education, networking and professional development at the Wynn Las Vegas before dealmaking kicks off Monday at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
ICSC MARKETPLACES IQ, our newest product offering, available to members at no additional cost, will be on display throughout the event. Learn about MARKETPLACES IQ — a comprehensive business tool that provides members with a centralized hub for property search, industry and demographic analysis, and site selection — at a microlearning session on Monday and get a demo any time at the ICSC Brand Activation in the LVCC Grand Lobby.
Make sure to explore ICSC’s state-of-the-art ICSC Networking Platform, which recommends matches for prospective business partners and enables users to schedule on‑site meetings and list available properties.
At the many professional development workshops on Sunday, attendees can hone their dealmaking skills, learn more about retailer site selection strategies, develop psychological marketing techniques and plan comprehensive, cohesive technology programs. They’ll also get a look at how successful mixed-use developments operate holistically, how modern leases are drafted and how successful developers are raising funds from a variety of investors.
Workshops will touch not only on familiar industry themes but also on cutting-edge topics. At Practical Strategies to Future-Proof Your Supplier Network, for example, speakers will discuss how challenges and disruptions in the supply chain have amplified the importance of supplier diversity. Attendees will hear how companies are leveraging supplier diversity programs to transform their networks, identify new partners and expand their markets. That includes the Commercial Real Estate Diverse Suppliers Consortium, through which ICSC provides its members with discounted access to more than 1 million service providers and businesses owned by Women and Black, Indigenous and people of color.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will share his insights as one of the most successful coaches in professional sports. His legendary vision, dedication and organizational skills have scored him three coveted NFL Coach of the Year titles and a record 269 wins, the fifth highest in NFL history.

Also at the Wynn on Sunday, ICSC will honor the recipients of its annual ICSC Global Awards, giving attendees a look at the world’s top retail developments, the marketing strategies behind them and the features that make them winners. Register for the Global Awards Ceremony here.
And the ICSC PAC is hosting its annual Las Vegas reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on the Sunset Terrace. Network with senior retail leaders and help ensure the success of the ICSC PAC. The reception is open to all 2023 $1,000-plus ICSC PAC contributors. Click here to donate and click here to RSVP.
The educational content will continue at the ICSC Brand Activation in the LVCC Grand Lobby with more panel discussions on Monday and Tuesday, including The CEO Perspective with Phillips Edison & Co.’s Jeffrey Edison, Marcus & Millichap’s Hessam Nadji, First Washington Realty’s Alex Nyhan and ICSC chair Glenn Rufrano, former CEO of VEREIT. Other general and microlearning sessions will address strategies for battling organized retail crime, the future of capital markets, development with a cultural focus, activating common areas and outdoor spaces, and how tech is transforming the shopper journey.
The dealmaking floor also opens at the LVCC on Monday. Top owners, landlords and brokers will be among the 787-and-counting exhibitors seeking business opportunities and partnerships. ICSC LAS VEGAS also will be ripe with retailers like Ahold Delhaize, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AutoZone, Big 5 Sporting Goods, Books-A-Million, Burlington, Chase, Chipotle, Crunch, Chicken Salad Chick, Dollar General, Dollar Tree, DoorDash, Five Below, Focus Brands, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Kroger, Lidl, Orangetheory Fitness, Papa Johns, Planet Fitness, Rite Aid, Rural King, Spirit Halloween, Subway, TJX Cos., Tractor Supply Co., Walgreens, Walmart and Wendy’s.
Attendees can take a break from the hubbub at a food court and gathering place called DINE. PLAY. GATHER. that will feature games with prizes, massage chairs and seating. Private meeting spaces also will be available.
Students will have loads of educational opportunities like small group meetings at member booths, speed networking with established Marketplaces Industry professionals, a student lunch featuring a retailer panel and a Monday evening ICSC Foundation Student Reception.
