ICSC hosted a site visit and retail real estate forum with Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) at Greenville ONE, a mixed-use development on Main Street in downtown Greenville on May 28.
Project tenants include local retailers and national retailers Anthropologie, Brooks Brothers and Orvis. LEED Gold Construction makes Greenville ONE the tallest high-rise in South Carolina with that distinction. The development is a public-private partnership between Hughes Development, Civitas, City of Greenville, 4240 Architecture and McKibbon Hotel Management.
The forum discussion focused on both local and national trends in the industry, obstacles and challenges with outdated local, state and federal regulatory and legislative mandates, as well as concerns with carried interest, like-kind exchanges and depreciation.
From l to r: Congressman William Timmons (SC-04), William Misiaveg Sr. (Carolina Holdings, Inc.), Jay Alexander (Windsor Aughtry Company), Joey Clayton (Equinox Development Properties), Britt Goodson (Carolina Holdings, Inc.), Darrell Palasciano (ICSC Carolinas State Director, TSCG), Lesli McIntosh (Clemson MRED student), and Jack Jamison (RealtyLink).
