Julie Rice to keynote RECon

May 2, 2019

Fitness and co-working tenants are growing faster than ever. WeWork and SoulCycle are two at the forefront of these growing sectors. RECon attendees will learn more about both businesses from Julie Rice, a partner at WeWork who also co-founded SoulCycle and who joins the exciting lineup of keynotes at this year’s event, which takes place on May 19–22, in Las Vegas.

Rice, who was honored as one of Goldman Sachs’ 100 Builders & Innovators in 2013 and 2014 and who also was voted one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business, speaks on May 21. She joins the previously announced Marcus Lemonis, who is chairman and CEO of Camping World, Good Sam Enterprises and Gander Outdoors, and who operates a chain of 20 Marcus stores through his Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group. Lemonis will speak on May 20.

ICSC also announced that football great Tony Romo will deliver the opening keynote address.

“Marcus and Julie epitomize the transformational changes happening in our industry,” said Tom McGee, ICSC’s president and CEO. “Both possess an entrepreneurial mindset, a customer-focused approach and a passion for innovative problem-solving. This year RECon will showcase more creative and curated content for attendees, and we’re thrilled to have Marcus and Julie share their stories and vision on this global stage."
