ICSC Foundation Partners with REimagined to Promote Diversity in the Marketplaces Industry

March 21, 2022

In its quest to empower underrepresented groups in the marketplaces industry, the ICSC Foundation has partnered with the REimagined initiative at The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Business. The program, administered by the school’s Alabama Center for Real Estate, aims to help young people from underrepresented groups prepare for and find entry-level career opportunities in the real estate business.

ICSC will provide financial support to the REimagined program in addition to ensuring its participants have access to ICSC’s student benefits, which include mentorship, scholarships, internship opportunities, professional development and complimentary ICSC student memberships.

REimagined's first initiative is the credential-based Career Opportunities in Real Estate program, or CORE, in which a national team of experts will train students and young professionals in underrepresented groups on the skills needed to build a lasting career in commercial property.

“Together, as an amazing team, we are laser-focused on executing this industrywide, game-changing workforce initiative to bring awareness and job opportunities to the next generation of real estate professionals,” said Alabama Center for Real Estate executive director Grayson Glaze.
