The Federal Trade Commission has accused distributor Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits of charging small businesses drastically higher prices than it charges large retailers. Filed under the Robinson-Patman Act, the lawsuit addresses what it categorizes as discriminatory pricing practices that long have disadvantaged independent stores, and it aims to foster fair competition.
