England’s Scotch Corner Designer Village unveils plans

March 5, 2020

Scotch Corner Richmond has plans for a £90 million (about $115 million) outlet center in England’s North Yorkshire.

The 250,000-square-foot Scotch Corner Designer Village, scheduled to open next year, will have as many as 92 units, including Adidas, Boss, Calvin Klein, Gap, Levi’s, Skechers and Tommy Hilfiger.

“Our vision is to create a retail and leisure destination that will appeal to customers from near and far,” said Simon Waterfield, co-owner of Scotch Corner Richmond. “We’re attracting great brands [and] an appetizing lineup of restaurants and cafés, and we will have an exciting events program to ensure customers have a really memorable visit.”

Scotch Corner Richmond owns 100 acres on which it will build the outlet center and could later build on a hotel, a home-and-garden center and some walking paths. The entire site will reflect local architecture in a village setting, as open streets intersperse with courtyards and terraces.
