In the Twin Cities, the Ignite Business Women Investment Group, formed by Black immigrant entrepreneurs, stands as a powerful testament to resilience and unity. With a shared vision to overcome obstacles like discriminatory landlords and a dearth of suitable commercial spaces, these 27 women collectively have invested nearly $300,000 and have acquired their first property, the Shingle Creek Center, a vibrant strip center housing 18 storefronts.
