Undergraduate students from historically underrepresented backgrounds can explore retail real estate career options and learn about the Marketplaces Industry through this preparatory program.
About the Program
ICSC Foundation, in partnership with Project Destined, launched the ICSC Retail Real Estate Bridge Program in fall 2023.
During this eight-week immersive program, student participants are partnered with sponsor companies that engage in the business of retail real estate. They are exposed to the vast career pathways within the industry and gain the skills and tools needed to actively pursue early career employment. Additionally, participants delve into fundamental retail real estate topics, such as dealmaking and market strategy.

Engage With ICSC Retail Real Estate Bridge Program
The partnerships of student participants* and our sponsors are essential to the success of this program. We look forward to welcoming the 2024 cohort and working our sponsor companies to establish entry points to careers in retail real estate.
Undergraduate students who participate in the ICSC Retail Real Estate Bridge Program will have access to the following:
- Industry fundamentals taught by a university professor
- Weekly executive speaker series
- $500 stipend
- A complimentary site visit to a property owned by a sponsor company
- Internship opportunities with leading retail real estate companies
* Participants must have already completed either ICSC Launch Academy or one Project Destined program.
Additionally, students who are accepted into the program will receive complimentary ICSC Student Membership, granting them access to exclusive industry research, professional development opportunities, and free registration to ICSC events for networking and educational purposes.
Sponsorship
The first cohort of the ICSC Retail Real Estate Bridge Program was very successful with 8 sponsors and 58 students. The ICSC Foundation could not do the work of building a pipeline of bright and diverse talent without the support of our sponsor companies.

- Promote internships and entry-level job openings through Project Destined’s Community Platform and customized email campaigns
