SPEAKERS

James Burns, Vice Chair & CEO of Alcanna Inc., a Canadian retailer of wine, spirits, beer and cannabis that operates in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Alaska. He is also a former private equity investor and Partner at Gordon Investment Company. Previously, Mr. Burns was the managing director at CIBC Wood Gundy and served as the Director and CFO of Scott’s Restaurants. 

Mike Demetriou, President/Broker, Baum Realty Group, LLC. Mike joined Baum Realty Group LLC as Chief Operating Officer in 2012 and became its President in 2016. An attorney, Mr. Demetriou handles the company’s day-to-day management and operations, with a focus on business development and recruiting.

Bridget Hill-Zayat,  Attorney, Hoban Law Group. Bridget also serves as the executive director for the Maryland Wholesale Medical Cannabis Trade Association. She is also a Cannabis Policy professor at Stockton University in New Jersey.
